Introduction: Monogenic diabetes is uncommon cause of diabetes mellitus (DM) due to single gene mutation and accounts for 1-6% of paediatric diabetes. It includes neonatal DM (NDM), maturity onset diabetes of the young (MODY) and rare diabetes-associated syndromes. They are frequently misclassified as either type 1 or young-onset type 2 diabetes.
