Introduction: One of the pillars of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) treatment is nutritional management with carbohydrate counting (CC), which requires constant control of food consumed, learning mathematical reasoning, or using mobile apps to calculate the amount of insulin administered before meals.
